Hurricane Hermine is making a B-line for the panhandle of Florida packing winds of 75 mph and torrential downpours.
While cities like Tallahassee and Valdosta, Georgia are going to get the brunt of the storm, here in central Florida we’ll still feel some impacts from the storm.
We are under a tornado watch until 11 pm tonight (Thursday, September 1st.) That means the conditions are favorable for tornado development.
With land falling tropical systems, tornadoes are a common sight and often times are rain wrapped and therefore difficult to see.
Expect rainy conditions from now until midday Friday with a few lingering storms Friday night.
Winds will be in excess of 30 mph and some storms could produce wind gusts higher than that.
